Impulse Leisure has operated a successful Apprenticeship Scheme for several years, ranging from Leisure Operations, Activity Leadership, Fitness, Business Administration, and Coaching Learn to Swim Frameworks. Many Apprentices have proudly progressed to permanent employment and/or further development opportunities.

Our programme is designed to provide valuable insight into the leisure industry across a multitude of departments, supporting our current and future needs as an organisation. We look to increase the number of Apprentices we recruit each year, broadening the employment opportunities available within the local community.

An apprenticeship with Impulse Leisure also provides an excellent opportunity to gain recognised qualifications within the leisure industry (i.e. National Pool Lifeguard, Swim Teaching, Fitness, Coaching etc), learning whilst they earn.

Delivered in partnership with our current training providers Lifetime Training, Albion in the Community and Dudley College/ The Institute of Swimming (Ios), an apprenticeship framework consists of a competence based qualification (NVQ), transferable skills (key skills or functional skills) and a range of technical qualifications, which provide the underpinning knowledge necessary for broader development and future employment opportunities.

Our programmes are designed to provide an excellent foundation into the leisure industry. For further information, meet some of our apprentices with their managers/mentors below and read their success stories…

In addition to our range of employment benefits, as an Apprentice you will also be able to register for an NUS Apprentice Extra Card, providing fantastic discounts on a variety of essentials from more than 150 high street and online retail partners. Discounts are available on travel, sport, books and DVD, technology, mobile and broadband, as well as fashion, beauty and going out!

When apprenticeship opportunities become available at our Essex and West Sussex sites, they will be listed on our current vacanices page with further information on how to apply.
