SWIMMING LESSONS

Your Direct Debit will start on 1st October.

We will be communicating with you via a telephone call or email. You will get a confirmation email through to confirm your child’s lessons and it will be updated on your Home Portal.

We have cancelled your lessons during this period so when you return to your lessons you would have the same number of lessons on your child’s swimming account that you had before the lockdown period. If you are not ready for your child to return, your number of remaining lessons will be frozen but your child will be removed from their class until you are ready to return.

If you are returning to lessons in October your October DD payment will be adjusted, or if you freeze your lessons once you notify us that you are returning to your lessons then we will adjust your DD payment for you when you return. If you have chosen to continue to freeze your lessons, we will remove your child from their current lesson until your return and then you will be offered days and times that we have available.

Of course; for those on Direct Debit and wish to still continue to freeze their membership/lessons, we have made this easy for you to do; simply download our app where you can freeze your membership via our my payments portal. If you cannot access this portal via the app then please contact DFC on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to continue to freeze your membership. You will need your DFC number and postcode to access this portal.  If you are on a block booking and still wish to continue freezing then please email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. If you have chosen to continue to freeze your lessons, we will remove your child from their current lesson until your return and you will be offered days and times that we have available.

Due to the social distancing measures, swim teachers/assistants will not be able to be in the water with your child. Therefore, for their first return swimming lesson a parent/guardian from the same household/bubble are required to join them in the water for their assement lesson. Please come prepared in your swimwear.

Their swim teacher will then assess their ability and will keep parents informed on a weekly basis of their progress and if your presence in the pool is still required.

Due to social distancing and cleaning, we have to made reductions to our class sizes, and staggered class start times, to reduce the number of people accessing the changing rooms after their sessions. Therefore, your lesson time & day may vary from the time you previously had prior to lockdown. You will receive an email with the new time and day of your lesson in the next few days to confirm your day and time. When you receive your swimming lessons time & date and are not satisfied with these times/days; our swim team will be available to discuss your alternatives: This email address is being protected from spambots. heroes

During our closure we ran an emergency donation appeal to enable us to reopen our leisure centers. As a not-for-profit charitable organisation, we rely on our member income to be able to provide ongoing health & leisure facilities for the local community. Whilst our centres were shut we decided to freeze our memberships which meant that we received no income.

Helping us, Helps them!

As part of our appeal we wanted to say thank you to the fabulous NHS staff that were amazing through the worst of the Pandemic and as such announced that for every £25 donated we would triple match the value, providing NHS staff Funded memberships.
As a result of our members and local community’s generosity we are now in a position to offer out funded 1 month memberships to our NHS Heroes.

It is now time for you to nominate your NHS HERO!

Have you got an NHS HERO that you think deserves one of our FREE memberships?
