Impulse Leisure and the community
Quality of life is paramount to our daily operations. Whether we are providing recreation through our Golf Course and various entertainment halls, or providing the facilities in our Leisure Centres that keep people on the move, our mission remains the same - to create active & healthy communities.
With so many overwhelming lifestyle pressures in this day and age, finding clarity amidst the daily noise is becoming more and more fundamental.
With this in mind, we've improved functionality by investing over £8 million into our company over the past 10 years, and want nothing more than to contribute to your social and economic wellbeing in the best way possible. We encourage this via the following:
Social inclusion
As a registered charity, any profits we make go straight back into providing easily accessible facilities for all. Profitability is low on our list of priorities; we prefer to focus on the benefits we can bring to our customers. We work with over 10,000 local children and young people per year, encouraging them to keep eating healthily and exercising regularly, and provide free concessions to those most in need. Our services extend to outreach school programmes, specialist classes, crèche facilities and much more.
Greater job choice
Our vacancies cover a wide range of expertise from lifeguarding, to finance and front of house. The vast majority of these posts are filled by local people, which we are proud to say has made us one of the highest employing Social Enterprises in Essex and West Sussex. It is important that all our employees are treated with the utmost respect and we go out of our way to offer training packages and staff incentives that boost morale. Beyond this the opportunity to progress higher up the ranks is usually well within reach for those who want it.
Training
Countless hours are put in each year by our qualified and experienced experts to provide professional support across a range of levels. Our training courses are the perfect avenue for those looking to take their first steps in a health and fitness career or simply hoping to become better versed in matters such as health and safety. Furthermore, we provide courses run by the Institute of Swimming, the Amateur Swimming Association and Quality Leisure Management.
Engagement
And finally, it's imperative to us that we remain up-to-date in our industry. One of the ways we do it is by attending over 30 community outreach events each year. We make face-to-face engagement a priority, ensuring that the local community are aware of the difference to wellbeing we can make through our facilities. Here at Impulse Leisure, we tailor our memberships to meet different lifestyles, income levels, planned frequencies and time of use, and make clear the different routes customers can take. We want them to have all the information they need to begin their journey with Impulse Leisure.
