The Board of Trustees is the governing body of Thurrock Community Leisure, who operate as Impulse Leisure and is ultimately responsible for everything the charity does. The Trustees act together as a group rather than as individuals in the furtherance of the charitable objectives of the organisation. The board is responsible for guiding and supporting the Managing Director and ensuring that Thurrock Community Leisure is operating within the agreed policies, budget, and law.

What would you do as a member of our Board of Trustees at Thurrock Community Leisure?

The board of trustees meets six times per annum to discuss and confirm the action that will be taken regarding their duties and responsibilities. Some of these include:

  1. Generate and action the advancement of public knowledge of the importance of an active lifestyle.
  2. Allocate surplus finances to further improve the facilities and programs of Thurrock Community Leisure.
  3. Ensure that actions taken by Thurrock Community Leisure are aligned with the mission, values and vision set out.
  4. Appoint and monitor the Managing Director of Thurrock Community Leisure.
  5. And much more!
