Following on from the Government's announcement, we have now finalised our plans for step 4 of the roadmap to easing lockdown restrictions, which will take place on Monday 19th July.

Our main priority is the health and safety of you and our staff. So we have put in some extra steps to keep you safe and our facilities open; please see our FAQ's below...

SAFETY & CLEANLINESS

As per the government’s guidance, there is no legal requirement to wear a face covering/mask in public areas. However in order for us to keep you and our staff safe we strongly encourage you to wear your face covering/mask when visiting our centres.

Yes; we will continue to provide sanitiser stations and wipe down stations throughout all areas of the centres.

Yes; even though you use our booking system, we still ask you scan the QR code upon entry.

No; one way systems have been removed.

Yes; to ensure the safety of our staff and others, we have made the decision to become a cashless facility. When we reopen we will only accept card payments and we encourage contactless payments to be made whenever possible.

If you need to cough or sneeze please use a tissue and bin after use.

If you are feeling unwell or have any of the following symptoms please do not come to centre:

  • a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
  • a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
  • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

SWIMMING

Yes; in order to comply with governments track and trace we require you to still book all swim sessions in advance. In addition, to ensure we receive essential Government funding we are required to provide funders attendance figures on a regular basis.

You can book all of your swim sessions online or via our App or online booking portal. Our App is available to download for FREE in the Play or iStore.

If you are a non-member and you wish to book a swimming session, please follow the below steps...

1. We require all non-members to have signed up for our non-member activity registration scheme. This is free of charge to sign up for and can be done by clicking here. This is only required once.

2. Once you have registered for our non-member activity scheme, you will then be able to create your online/app booking account, please click here and input your email address and request a password. Again once you are set up the process after is very simple.

3. Now you have created your password, you can login either via our app or on our online booking platform here.

4. Select the your session and book and pay.

If you want to book a family swim, or a swimming session with a child, you will need to contact Reception to book. 

If you want to book a family swim, or a swimming session with a child and are not an Impulse Leisure member, we will require you to follow the below steps to book a family swim session.

1. We require all non-members to have signed up for our non-member activity registration scheme. This is free to sign up for an can be done by clicking here

2. Once you have registered for our non-member activity scheme, you will then need to contact Reception using the following phone numbers to book in your family swim.

Yes; we are upping our capacity in all of our pools, this includes swimming lessons and Aqua.

Yes; however we do still encourage you to arrive with your swim wear on underneath your clothing.

Yes; all shower areas will open from Monday 19th July 2021. Again, we do continue to ask that you clean the touch points before and after use.

Yes; all lockers will be available. Please remember to bring your padlock or a 50p coin. As we are a cashless facility it is vital to bring a 50p coin to access the lockers; the 50p is refundable after use. We are looking into changing the coin mechanism system, but reiterate we do not carry any cash on site.

We have suspended the dishonour booking charge from swim sessions. We will continue to monitor this and if we see an increase in no shows, we will reintroduce this charge.

The teaching pool is in the process of reopening which will take approximately 3-4 weeks to heat, treat and chemically balance ready for your return.

SWIMMING LESSONS

No, all swimming lessons will remain on the same day and time as they were previously prior to our closure.

For those who wish to continue to freeze their swimming lessons, we have made this easy for you to do: simply freeze your lessons/direct debit via our my payments portal. You can do this on the app or by clicking here.  Alternatively, you can contact DFC directly at This email address is being protected from spambots. Please note that if you choose to freeze your lessons, you will be removed from your current lesson time and day and once you are ready to return, you must contact us and we will provide you with our available lesson days and times.

To continue to freeze your swimming lessons, you MUST have contacted DFC or completed the my payments form no later than the 20th of the month. Please note this means you will only be freezing for one month. To freeze for longer you will need to contact DFC every month to freeze.
